Ody(sseus)
![]() |
Born somewhere around 9/1/04 and somewhere probably in Leander Texas, I rescued this
15 lb mixed-breed on 11/12/04 from the Leander Animal Control Precinct as he was
out of time in that shelter. I have decided on “Ody” for the little guy,
short for ”Odysseus”. For those of you who are fans of Greek literature, he was
one of the most prominent Greek leaders in the Trojan War and was the hero of
Homer's Odyssey. Often associated with this reference are those who have been
saved or guided by fate as Odysseus was known for his cleverness and cunning and was the
originator of the Trojan horse. Sincere, fierce and proud, known as the long
suffering traveler, he was the master of his own fate. Given the travels
and odd twist of fate that brought this little guy here, as well as the strong little will I
have seen in him, I think it fits him well.
