Very friendly 12 year old, sable white female was an owner relinquishment in Austin, winter 2004.  Large by comparison, she came into the program weighing 50 pounds and with a possible thyroid condition which is being evaluated and is typically easily treatable.  She's alert, sweet, gets along very well with adults, children, cats and dogs, and in search of a qualified loving home.

Update (4/21/04):  Chancey is back in the Houston program undergoing some additional medical tests and treatment.  They are working to keep her cough under control with medication and have started her on thyroid supplements, which should help her weight loss prognosis.  She had lost 6.4 pounds before she returned to Houston and is on her way to returning to a more normal size!  It was wonderful having her stay while the medical issues were sorted out.

Update (6/06/04):  Chancey has been adopted and is very happy in her new permanent home !!!
